I feel like I have travelled through a lot of topics in my head to get to this month’s blog.
I hope it awakens a little soul searching and adventure in you….
It’s a splendid thing when a passion and a career collide, when you can plan your work around your life rather than your life around your work.
That may be a Mark Twain quote, but something in it resonated with me when searching for the career that matched my passion and would make going to work every day my favourite thing.
I wanted to start each week on a positive note, excited at the prospect of heading to work, working in a career which didn’t feel like a job but an extension of my passion; one that would reward me and grow me as an individual.
I’m excited to say that I found it; that elusive passion filled career! But could you?
What would you be doing if you allowed yourself to find your passion? Would you have the courage to make the change? 2015 was a huge transitional year for me; it brought with it a new career, a change in marital status, a change in location and a change in salary. I can’t say it was an easy road, but loving what I do each day has helped me to find me, heal me, shift me and grow me. I am stronger and clearer about why I am here!
It’s an incredible change journey from disillusionment to clarity, so where do you begin?
You guessed it …. Within! The journey starts with you.
- Identify the things that rock your boat, the things that make you go mmm
- More than likely those mmm things will be things that you shine like a rock star
- Create mind boards of careers that marry your skills to your passions
- Research and plan; create and explore
- Ask great questions – where, how, when
- Avoid negative head spaces; there’s always a way forward if you look hard enough
We effect change and change affects us; manifesting a change in career could mean a change in location, a change in income, a change in position...are you ready for that? Are you ready to feel the fear and do it anyway? Butterflies in your stomach? If the answer is yes, then start visualising now, it’s time to manifest and grow; for as M.J. attests…Be brave, build resilience,
BE AWESOME, be you.
If nothing changed there’d be no butterflies…..
now may just be the time for you to change!
