Nobody's ever had a breakthrough moment in a slideshow.

People grow when someone backs them to go further than they thought, then sticks around to see it land. That's been the whole idea since 1997.

These days I write the leadership qualifications other organisations deliver. Which means I know exactly what a competency looks like on paper, and exactly how little that helps a supervisor at 5am who has to tell someone their attitude is wrecking the shift.

That gap is the work. Twenty-eight years of it, across hospitals, police stations, depots, worksites, venues and substations. Long enough to know a good conversation travels, and a bad one costs the same everywhere.

Ordinary was never the plan.

What that looks like

Sometimes it's a program. Sometimes it's a competency framework a whole industry ends up using. Sometimes it's two hours with one leader who's about to lose their best person.

And sometimes it's saying the training won't help, because the people aren't what's broken.

Twenty-eight years of working that out first. It's why the things we build are still running years later, and why clients keep ringing back with the next one.

Facilitator | Team Engagement Specialist | Coach | Assessor

I've spent twenty-eight years watching what happens after the workshop.

That's the part most people in this industry never see. I've seen it in hospitals, police stations, depots, worksites, venues and substations, and it taught me the thing that shapes everything I do now: people don't struggle with the concept. They struggle at the moment they have to use it, in front of someone, on a bad day.

So that's what I design for. I write leadership and management qualifications that registered training organisations deliver, and I build frameworks that survive contact with a real roster, conversations people can actually have, and tools they'll still reach for next year.

The rest of the work happens one to one. A leader who can't work out why the same approach lands with one person and fails with the next. Someone about to lose their best performer. Someone who's been told to change something about themselves and doesn't know where to start. Hogan, DISC and Belbin give me three ways to see them clearly. What they get from me is someone who'll say the thing out loud, then stay while they work out what to do about it.

I started Scope Vision in 1997. Many of the clients I began with are still here, which is the only measure of this work I've ever fully trusted.

Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). Post Graduate Diploma of Education (Training and Development). Fifteen VET qualifications across leadership, management, marketing, hospitality and work health and safety. Accredited in Hogan, DISC and Belbin Team Roles.

I'm the reason things actually happen on time.

MJ designs the work. I make sure it lands: the planning, the logistics, the follow-up, the hundred details that decide whether a program runs beautifully or falls over in week three. I'm often the person you'll deal with between sessions.

I also assess participants and coach them through it, which means I see the same thing MJ does from a different angle — who's applying it, who's quietly stuck, and who needs a conversation before they give up on themselves.
