Planning determines your focus
I’m by no means suggesting that you turn yourself into a planning tyrant, but an idea unplanned is only a wish! Planning effectively ensures you focus on activities that see you achieve your personal and professional goals.
At Scope Vision we are mad about planning! We adore spontaneity provided it’s carefully planned! Whilst there’s no point planning for the sake of planning, plans need to be real working documents; we agree with Zig Ziglar that ‘Success occurs when opportunity meets preparation’. We designed our Business Planning Toolkit for those who don’t want a life of imitation. We provided the user with the creative freedom to plan every opportunity and designed templates to help them execute their plans. Containing Business Development Tools, Project Planning Tools, Time Management and Concept Development tools; users are guaranteed to find their focus!
Don’t be busy, be productive
Keeping good time management is a constant boon for every person.
It doesn’t have to be tricky; it just takes a little planning with some great resources. Focusing on your goals and action planning activities in your Monthly, Weekly and Daily Focus planners ensures you starve distractions, and feed your focus, PAYing yourself well.
Go with the flow….or not?
Going with the flow is good, but only when the flow helps you to reach your goals. Jumping to conclusion on what needs to be done without considering all the variables and required actions is dangerous and will see you join the dead fish on the surface.
Planning and preparation done from the outset will save you additional work and time down the track. Using a Project and Concept Development Planner will see you prioritise what needs to be prioritised and leave out what PAYs you no yield.
Your planning matters; you need to know where you are heading. Build your Master Action planner – THE list of all your actions, projects, goals and tasks; then transfer key action items and deadlines to your Monthly, Weekly and Daily Focus planner. This will ensure you start each day with a clear head and your focus goals clearly in target.
Starve your distractions; feed your focus
Distractions come in all forms and often when you least need them! They switch-task your focus and can negatively impact your mood. If distractions come in the form of your friends or colleagues, you may need to teach them how to do business with you. Focusing on your goals and meeting your planned deadlines does not make you rude or unprofessional; quite the opposite. The majority of the population have poor time management practices. Advising people you are busy and asking if you can come and see them when you have finished what you are working on is an appropriate course of action. Schedule an alternative meeting time with them at a time that is convenient to you and your Daily Focus planer. Stay focused on your efficiency and productivity and fight hard to keep your attention on your outcomes not the obstacles. Do whatever it takes to ensure you remain focused on your goals and PAY yourself first!
